Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and It’s life transformational possibilities

In the realm of holistic healing, there exists a powerful and transformative tool that goes beyond the physical and delves deep into the emotional and energetic realms—Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Often referred to as "tapping," EFT has gained widespread recognition for its ability to bring about profound healing and transformation in the lives of those who embrace its practice.

EFT combines ancient Chinese acupressure with modern psychology, creating a unique and effective method for addressing emotional and physical issues. The technique involves gently tapping on specific meridian points on the body while focusing on the issue at hand. This process is designed to release blocked energy and restore balance to the body's energy system through the stimulation of these points while speaking out loud to stimulate the subconscious. 

The Science Behind the Taps 

Scientifically, EFT is believed to engage the body's stress response and interrupt the pattern of negative thoughts and emotions. Research suggests that tapping on acupressure points reduces the production of cortisol, the stress hormone, and promotes a sense of relaxation. Additionally, EFT has been found to affect the expression of certain genes related to stress response, further supporting its efficacy.

Transforming Limiting Beliefs

One of the most remarkable aspects of EFT is its ability to address and transform limiting beliefs that may be holding individuals back in various aspects of their lives. By acknowledging and tapping on these beliefs, individuals can release the emotional charge associated with them, paving the way for positive shifts in mindset and behavior.

Mind over matter plays a dominant role in all of our lives. It's becoming more and more apparent that your beliefs create your reality. The more you focus or think about something, the more you create it and bring it to reality. That goes for positive and negative things. If you believe yourself to be a failure, you will keep creating experiences where you fail. If you believe you are successful no matter what, you will keep creating experiences where you succeed. An amazing book recommendation for this concept is, The Nature of Personal Reality by Jane Roberts.

If you are familiar with the famous Sonya Sophia EFT master and practitioner, then you will likely have heard some incredible stories about the power of EFT and transforming reality. As a person who has attended her living school of arts, one of the many stories that stuck out was one about poison ivy:

Sonya and a group of kids all road tripped to do a workshop for a rainbow gathering in the mountains. When they got there, the moment they stepped out of the car they were faced with overwhelming amounts of poison ivy completely covering the ground. Despite the immediate fear that there was nowhere safe besides the car, they made a decision to put the power of EFT to the test. They spent the entire weekend leading tap sessions for every person that came through except for one man. 

This one man decided he didn’t want to bother with EFT and hid up in his hammock wearing full long sleeves, pants, boots, and covers for a few days before finally deciding to leave while the rest of the attendees were able to frolick the mountainside even in shorts without experiencing the wrath of poison ivy. 

Sonya happened to run into that man a few months later and saw him wrapped in bandages covering up severe burns. Not even thinking about what she had previously seen she asked him what happened. His response? Poison Ivy. Months later he was still experiencing burns and rashes from the plant, yet everyone that had attended the event and participated in the EFT healing sessions either had minimal effects with light itching that left quickly or walked away completely unscathed. 

This was just one of the hundreds of stories shared, some involved completely resolving deadly allergies, healing blindness, deafness, weight problems, chronic pain, injuries that doctors claim “will never heal”, among many more. The list could go on in endless articles. 

Point being, most problems have some kind of connection to your belief system stored in your emotional state. As you transform your beliefs, you transform your life. 

Overcoming Trauma and Emotional Pain

EFT has shown remarkable effectiveness in helping individuals overcome trauma and emotional pain. Whether stemming from past experiences or present challenges, tapping can provide a safe and structured way to process and release the emotional burdens that may be hindering personal growth and well-being. Arguably this is the most common use of EFT and is the area to have shown the most effectiveness for growth. One of the best procedures you can do with EFT if you want to be thorough is the “personal peace procedure”. Starting with the moment you were born (which could be learned from stories or potentially diving deep into your memories as the body does remember everything) and spending a session on each year of your life up until the present. Obviously some years will be more intense than others, but you’ll be amazed to find the web of connections from simple instances to the biggest fallouts. 

Past Life Regression and EFT

When combined with modalities like Beyond Quantum Healing (BQH), EFT becomes a potent tool for those exploring past life regression. Tapping can help individuals navigate through the emotions and memories associated with past lives, facilitating healing and integration in the present. You’ll be amazed at how many clients come through that have issues that stem from a different life.

Although you’ll find there can be thousands of things to tap on, really it only takes addressing a few issues to start relieving all the rest of them.
